The Quilter’s Basic Die Set includes four dies: Super Strip-2 ½” (“Jelly-Roll” size), Squares-5” Die Design, Squares-3 ½” Die Design, and Half Square-3” Finished (includes Seam Allowance). It is not too late to knit a scarf for Superbowl 12
Get it before July 7

|
|
Indianapolis is hosting the Super Bowl in 2012 and wants to give away 8,000 scarves to all those who volunteer to help with the Super Bowl happenings. As such, they are asking for knitters to donate their time and hand knit a scarf or two in order for the committee to provide them to all their volunteers.
For more information, you can check out the Host Committee's website. There is no set pattern, but there are patterns available on the website for those who may need a suggestion. There are, however, approved yarn colors (which are, coincidentally, blue and white).

Helmet Liner
Troops need knitters and crocheters to make HELMET LINERS. U.S. Troops stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo and South Korea, as well as many parts of the US, are exposed to winds and bitter cold during the winter months. Just as in WWI and WWII, volunteers are needed to make these wool caps for our troops.
The wool head covering which can be worn under the Kevlar helmet provides warmth to the head and neck but does not restrict vision. Click for instructions in pdf format [click]
