The Easy Knitted Einstein Coat

Knit a very popularwinter coat. Featured in Sally Melvilles’ The Knit Stitch, the coat orjacket can be knit using either worsted or bulky yarn. Learn how to pickup stitches, knitting sleeves from top down and the crochet cast on. Maybe made in one or several colors of same yarn. This makes a great“first garment”. Go from knitting accessories to wearables.

Helmet Liners

Troops need knittersand crocheters to make HELMET LINERS. U.S. Troops stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo and South Korea, as well as many parts of the US, are exposed to winds and bitter cold during the winter months. Just as in WWI and WWII, volunteers are needed to make these wool caps for our troops. The wool head covering which can be worn under the Kevlar helmetprovides warmth to the head and neck but does not restrict vision. Click for instructions in pdf format [click]
